Quoted from Wikipedia.org:

Premenstrual Stress Syndrome (PMS, also called Premenstrual Stress, Premenstrual Tension, PMT, Premenstrual Syndrome, Periodic Mood Swing) is stress which is a physical symptom prior to the onset of menstruation.

PMS is not dysmenorrhea (increasingly painful periods), in spite of the two conditions being commonly confused in usage. PMS occurs prior to the onset of menstrual bleeding, while dysmenorrha occurs during the period of bleeding.

PMS is exceedingly common, occurring in 75% of women of reproductive age during their lifetime. A more severe form of PMS is premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). This occurs in about 5% of women. Both are characterized by symptoms of mood swings, depression, anxiety and irritability that occur prior to menses, usually in the two week period between ovulation and menses. It is often accompanied by physical symptoms of abdominal bloating and cramping.

Here it comes again. PMS. Pre Mmenstruation Syndrome. Huh, so annoying.

Every month, usually in the beginning of the month, I get this PMS, and I consider my PMS as a difficult one (comparing to the others'). The length of my PMS may vary, from 3 days up to a week (just imagine, you only have 4 weeks in a month, and you spend a week suffering for this syndrome, huh. And it happens every month!!).

These are some examples of my PMS characteristics:

* I get anxious very easily during this period.
* I get stressed very easily.
* I cannot sleep at night.
* I gain weight very easily. I always grab any foods to overcome my stresses, anxiety, etc. After I grab the foods, I feel better, but in the next 5 minutes, I get stressed again, thinking about the weight I'd just gained.
* I feel so unconfident, especially because I gain weight during this period.
* I always feel blue and sad. It is so easy to make me cry during this period. Very often, I cry without I even know the reasons.
* I get angry so easily.
* I feel so tired, that I just want somebody to massage me continuously.
* Mood swings.

During this PMS, I try to avoid much contacts with people. It's not that I don't want to socialize, but I just can't control myself during this time.

Huh, I'm so bored of this PMS period.
