well well well... long time not to update this blog...
today is the third day i work at a company called Metso Automation BV. at the moment, i'm doing my internship program there for 11 months. i work for an accounting position there, and i "kind of" have 2 supervisors: ronald and erik. and maybe, starting from tomorrow, i'll also have gema as my supervisor.
working in a real company is so cool.
hehe. at least, it's cool for me. for example, starting from next week, i'll have my own official address, which is silvia.laurensia@metsoautomation.com.
i also have my own " door keycard", to open the door when i come in to the company. and then, i get my own desk, my own computer
, my own cupboard, etc etc etc. so cool. i feel like a pro now. hehe.
the people there are also so nice. ronald and erik like to make jokes on each other
, and also on me. hehe. they also like to take a walk in the afternoon, for about 10-15 minutes, and sometimes i join them. there are a lot of smiles
and laughes
at the office.
about the job itself, i find it quite complicated.
what i do now is so different comparing to what i've learnt at school. and there are a lot of things i still have to learn. what i like about this company is that they really teach me from the scratch, from operating the copying machine, using the fax, operating the frankeer machine (to make a stamp when we want to send a document or a package), inputting the invoices into the system, making bookings, etc etc etc.
i work from 9 to 5, officially. in fact, i often get home at 4:30.
hehe. and i have to work everyday, from monday to friday. so, in order not to get late to come to the office, i have to wake up at 6.
and then i take a shower
, have a breakfast
, etc etc etc, and i have to leave home and go to the station at 7:50. the train comes at 8:06, and it takes for about 30 minutes to arrive at the amersfoort station. then, when i arrive at the amersfoort station, i have to catch the bus, which is at 8:40. my gosh, i always have to run to catch this bus!!
i'll arrive at the office at 9, exactly. then, i get home at 4:30, and i'll arrive at home at around 6. and i have to sleep
at 11, in order not to wake up late for the tomorrow morning. my gosh, i cant imagine how boring it will be after a few months.
but yeah, so far so good. hehe.
like what ronald said to me this morning: i have to enjoy what i do. i have to be comfortable at the office, since i'll be at the office everyday, from 9 to 5. i'll spend more time at the office, rather than at home.
let's see what'll happen.
